This Engagement Letter outlines the terms and conditions under which Expert Tax & Accounting Solutions, LLC (“Company,” “we,” or “our”) will provide tax preparation services to you (“Client”).
Scope of Services
Our services include the preparation of federal and/or state income tax returns based on information provided by you.
We will not audit or verify the accuracy of the information you provide. Our role is limited to preparing tax returns using the documentation and data supplied by you.
Additional services such as tax planning, bookkeeping, or representation before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) are not included unless specifically agreed upon in writing.
Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
- Provide complete and accurate information necessary for tax preparation
- Supply all required documentation including W-2s, 1099s, and other tax forms
- Review the completed tax return carefully before signing and filing
You remain legally responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your tax return.
Record Retention
Clients should retain copies of their tax returns and supporting documentation for at least seven (7) years in accordance with IRS recordkeeping guidelines.
Electronic Filing Authorization
When applicable, you authorize Expert Tax & Accounting Solutions, LLC to electronically file your tax return once you review and approve the final return.
Fees and Payment
Fees for tax preparation services are based on the complexity of the return and the time required to prepare it.
Payment may be required before filing the completed tax return.
Limitation of Liability
Expert Tax & Accounting Solutions, LLC shall not be liable for penalties, interest, or additional taxes assessed by taxing authorities resulting from:
- Incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the Client
- Failure by the Client to provide required documentation
Termination of Engagement
Either party may terminate this engagement at any time with written notice.
Client Portal & Document Upload Terms

Expert Tax & Accounting Solutions, LLC may provide clients with the ability to upload documents electronically through our website, email, or secure client portal.
Secure Transmission of Documents
While we take reasonable steps to protect the security of electronic communications, transmitting information over the internet carries inherent risks.
Clients are encouraged to use our secure portal whenever possible when sending sensitive information.
Responsibility for Uploaded Documents
Clients are responsible for ensuring that documents uploaded or submitted are accurate, complete, and free from malicious software such as viruses or malware.
Confidential Information
We treat all uploaded documents containing personal or financial information as confidential in accordance with applicable privacy laws and IRS confidentiality standards.
Document Storage
Uploaded documents may be stored securely for recordkeeping purposes in accordance with our data retention policies.
Unauthorized Access
While we implement security safeguards, Expert Tax & Accounting Solutions, LLC cannot guarantee that electronic transmissions will be completely secure from unauthorized access.
Acceptance of Terms
By submitting documents electronically, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with electronic communication and agree to these terms.
